Twas the Night Before Weigh In

Twas the night before weigh in, when all through the house
Not a creature was eating, not even a mouse.
The frig was closed in the kitchen with care,
In hopes that weigh in day soon would be there.

The puppies were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of bities danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.

When down in my stomach there arose such a clatter,
I stayed in the bed knowing what was the matter.
Away to dreamland I wanted to go.
Tomorrow I weigh and tonight no Hostess Ho-HOs.
