Let’s start with my weight loss for this week. I’m down 3 lbs to 258. Kimberley maintained at 224.
Yes you can have Turkey before Thanksgiving. I bought some turkey breast at the store this week and made a wonderful Turkey Reuben. This sandwich is a little high in calorie but I like using real cheese and good bread. You could cut calories but using low fat cheese and low calorie bread. Myself I just plan for the calories and enjoy a good sandwich.
1lb Turkey breast
1/4 cup Fat Free Italian dressing
1/4 cup Fat Free Thousand Island
8 slices bread I like rye for this
1 16 oz can sour kraut
4 oz of Swiss cheese (or whatever cheese you like)
Put the turkey in a bag with the Italian dressing and let it sit in the refrigerator for an hour or two.
Fry the turkey over medium heat. No oil needed the dressing will keep it from sticking. You could bake it if you prefere.
Heat your sour kraut in the the microwave for a minute or two.
Toast your bread.
Then just put the sandwich together. Add 2 tbs of Thousand Island to one slice of bread and cheese on the other. I have a toaster over so after adding the dressing and cheese I put it back in the oven and let it toast until the cheese is melted. Then add your turkey breast and sour kraut on top of that and enjoy.
