I just read this article by Caitlin Markley, Nutrition Columnist.
The one quote that really makes no sense is…
“Butter is a staple in the American diet. This may explain our recent outbreak of high cholesterol and heart disease, not to mention obesity.”
I agree that it is a staple but it has been for much longer than the obesity problem. I would say on the contrary that a lot of the processed diet foods and other processed foods are the problem. Not the natural foods that we have always had. Yes you should eat butter in moderation but trying to substitute everything with the crap that is out there is not good for you health either. Everything in moderation is much better for you than switching it out for low fat no fat processed junk. Eat less move more this has been and always will be the key to weight loss and weight management.
They should hire me as a Nutrition Columnist.
I agree with you. This problem wasn’t around back when people had to do hard, physical labor. They ate foods like fried chicken, but then worked it off doing chores.
Maybe they hired her because she is pretty to look at
