Almost Vacation Time!

We are getting ready for our trip to Kentucky. I can’t wait to get away for a week. It’s been a stressfull few weeks at work. We are going to meet up with Tami from Tic Toc: Tamis Clock. I can’t wait to meet her and Kevin. They live in Kentucky and are about at the half way mark of your trip. We are going to stay in a hotel for Satuday night and then we will be camping the rest of the week. Kimberley’s Mom and Dad were kind enough to loan us ther pop up camper so it should make for a nice relaxing week.

Mopar Nationals

This weekend was the Mopar Nationals at National Trails Raceway. Every year when they have this event all the cars come into town to cruise up and down Hebron Road in Heath Ohio. It has become quite the event. We always meet up with our friends at Caribou coffee and set out front in our chairs. I think we mainly watch the people with a few cars mixed in. My favorite car of the night was a new one the Dodge Challenger. I also saw a very nice Harley trike that I would love to have. We had a good time visiting with friends and we look forward to it every year. Our one friend Francy has it bad for wanting a Harley. She is druling over one here that pulled up in front of us.

Redskins Hall of Fame.

Darrel Green made it into the Hall of Fame this weekend. This is a blessed man. I listened to his son introduce him and could see the love he has for his dad. Then to hear Darrell’s speech on his family and what true success means was just awesome.

Found a good website that has some of my favorite Tech TV personality’s. In case you don’t know Tech TV used to be a really good tech based cable channel that had an array of good shows on computer technology and much more. However a few years back it was bought out by G4 TV which really sucks unless you are a teenage gamer. Anyway if you miss people like Patrick Norton, Kevin Rose, Alex Albrecht, Sarah Lane, Roger Chang and Martin Sergent plus want to see many new faces. Then check out the site at Revision3.com. I’ve been watching all morning. They seem to have something to appeal to most everyone so give them a look.

Twilight Coffee in Downtown Newark Ohio has an open mic night every Friday night from 6 to 10 pm. We have went twice and both times have been entertained by a great guitar duo named Moments of Inertia. There names are Kevin Bell and Desi Steinbrook. There music is Christian based but no words, they like to let you paint the picture. They will talk in between songs and give you a glimps of what they are about. If your in town and have the chance you should come by and give them a listen.

We just got back from taking the dogs over to the school behind us. They have a fenced in playground that Emma loves to run in. She is pooped and thirsty. Here is a picture of her cooling down getting some water.

Garden fun!

We had a great time yesterday. We had a Dave’s Garden Roundup to attend. This is a website we belong to and every year there are what we call Roundup’s all around the country. It’s just a time where we all get together. We usually go to two a year. We go to one in Cincinnati which is where we went yesterday. It is just a one day affair where we all get together for a meal and plant trades. Kimberley took a ton of plants and we came home with two tons of plants. We also had Kimberley’s Mom and Dad with us and they had all there plants too. So we had quite the load of plants. We had a great time with friends and ended up going over to one of the local gardeners house to spend the evening. Last year we spent the night at their place and camped out in our van. This time we drove home. I had to let Kimberley finish out the drive as I was starting to feel myself nod off.

The other one we go to will be in September. That is the one where I usually take time off and make it a vacation. It is an all weekend affair and we camp out at a local camp ground where everyone stays together. It’s always a lot of fun.

Today is just a day of rest we are pretty wore out after the long day yesterday.

Yesterday I gave you the view from my office door of the fair going on outside. So today I though I would give you a view of my office from the fair. We went on the ferris wheel and took some pictures. We had a great time last night at the fair. Most of the night was spent in Twilight Coffee which is right next door to my office. They had open mic night. My office is the tan and green building and we are the third door down from the end.

It’s our annual festival here in Newark. They bring in all the carnival rides and food. So needless to say it’s been a treat day. Here is a picture taken from my office door.
