I posted 4 years or so ago that I would buy a bike when I got under 300 lbs. This was to be a goal treat for losing all the weight. Well I made it there over 2 1/2 or 3 years ago and never did buy the bike. So we came into some unexpected money this week and I finally made the plunge. One of my buddy’s at my men’s bible study just got a bike a few weeks ago and it really gave me the bug for another bike. This is the nicest bike I have ever owend. I got the Raleigh Detour 3.5. I bought it at a local dealer who goes to my church and just opened up a new bike shop called Peddlers.

I hope you ride it a lot. My fear is that we would spend the money and I would ride it a few times and then put it in storage and never get it out again.
That is exactly what Kimberley said when I told her she should get a bike. She did not want to spend the money because she was afraid it would just sit. I have pretty much established that I exercise an hour a day by walking and I don’t like to walk all that much. I love riding a bike so I’m pretty sure I will get at least an hour a day on it when weather permits.
I don’t want to spend that kind of money on a bike for myself. I know myself too well and know I wouldn’t use it like I should. Like I told him, a Cricut or other die cutting machine is something I would use a lot because crafting is my passion!
