It was a beautiful day for a bike ride today and it was quite the interesting ride. First I almost ran over a snake so I back tracked and get a picture of him/her. Then I rode up on a good old fashioned water baptism. This was kind of funny because it was my mom’s church. She had told me they were having a potluck after church but I did not know about the water baptism. The last shot was just some cows under a shade tree, I thought it was a good picture. The one cow coming toward me must of thought I was there to feed it. It ended up clear up by the fence.
This sis a screen shot from the GPS software I use on my phone. It is Google’s My Tracks. It maps out your whole ride and then has this screen that gives you all the detailed information.

Here is the map created from My Tracks

Well, if this article doesn’t make you think twice about fast food, nothing will. Claims about food preservatives have been floating around for decades. Take the Twinkie shelf life rumor, for instance. Some have said a Twinkie has an indefinite shelf life. While it’s true that its shelf life is pretty long for a baked good, it’s not that long.

But nobody ate it, and it still looks as fresh as it did the day it was made, twelve years ago. …Continue reading “Big Mac Lasts Longer than 6 iPods”
I’m reminded of Randy Stonehill’s classic, American Fast Food. You can hear the original version in this fan video, but here’s his acoustic version (perhaps easier to understand – am I really saying that?):

I just read a good article on making good choices. It goes on the lines of what I have always done. If you like something don’t give it up totally just use moderation. For instances if you like pizza eat one or two slices instead of three or four. If you like cheeseburgers get a small burger instead of a triple double decker monster. Like I have always said everything in moderation.
Found a good article on eating healthy on a budget.

This is a great article that really sums up what I have been saying. I’m glad there are some people out there teaching good things. I’m so sick of all these fad diets.
