Skorpios Gyros in Newark, Ohio: Must-Try Eats

I wrote about Skorpios Gyros before but it’s worth bringing up again. This is the place to go in Newark, Ohio if you want a good gyro. We had the small Traditional Lamb Gyro with the Greek Fries and we were not disappointed. The Greek Fries have seasoning on them, along with feta cheese, banana peppers and a drizzling of olive oil. There was plenty enough for two, so we shared those. We found the small gyro and the fries to be a satisfying meal.

Now, that’s not to say that I couldn’t eat the regular, but the small was plenty. Their special is a combo: small gyro with regular fries and a drink for $5.99; and the regular gyro special is a dollar more. You can get a small gyro by itself for $3.99 or a regular for $4.99.

Nice service too the people there are friendly. It’s great to have a local gyro place right near downtown, too.

Everything I have read says these and new plugs will clear up the rough idle in the PT. It seams to be a known issue that oem wires don’t hold up.

Friday night treat!

We usally have one day a week where it’s a treat. I really have to watch that though because it can easily turn into a free for all. Last night was pretty good though. We went to Ruby Tuesday’s and I had the Soup and Salad bar with some bread. We then had an Apple fritter at Caribou. So not to bad and now for the rest of the weekend I really need to focus.

We must really be getting old because we left Caribou at about 9:15 or 9:30 and I was in bed on a Friday night by 10:00pm. It sure felt good though. I was asleep by 10:30 and did not get up until almost 8:00 am. So 9 1/2 hours of wonderful sleep. No phone calls from work just good sleep.

This Picture is turned 90 degrees clockwise. So most shots are in the center. I left the sights a little high because I was at close range. So if I’m further out it should be right on.

Not too bad being that I have only shot a hand gun 3 times. I missed the target twice but also got a bullseye.
