It’s easter weekend and I have Good Friday off. I also took off Monday and Tuesday so it’s a short spring break vacation for us. We are headed to see our friends Dea and Michael in Maryland. I’m looking forward to the time off and time away.

Soon to open Twilight Coffee is right by my office at 37 South Park Pl on the square downtown Newark Ohio. We have been talking with the construction guys as they have been remodeling the inside. I took these pictures the other day to give you a little glimpse of what it looks like. Jenifer the owner says she plans to open April 1st. I can’t wait to see it all done. I like to see business’s like this come downtown. It’s such a neat area and it’s sad to see it lose all the business’s. Starting out she says she will be open 7:00 am to 4:00pm. Don’t know about Saturday and Sunday.
Snow day 2!

Well they say it’s not officially a blizzard but it’s close enough. We got about a foot of snow maybe and inch or two more than that and it’s still going. It should be stopping soon. The good news is that we should be getting a meltdown this week. So it won’t be here for long. It’s only 22 days to the Indians home opener. Hope it’s better weather than last year. Last year it looked like it does today.
New site new start.

Well here I am with a brand new look and brand new host. So maybe this will get me motivated to lose some weight. However I’m not necessarily going to base the whole site on weight loss. I may talk religion, sports, photography, computers or life in general. So I hope you like the new look and stop in to see how I am doing.
We were going to go to Maryland this weekend but that did not pan out. Our friends that we were going to see are having some bad times with sick and injured family members, human and animal. So we postponed it for another two weeks to give everyone a chance to heal up and feel better.
That proabably worked out for the best anyway. I have been having some back problems this week. I think it’s just some pulled muscles but it sure hurts and it always worries me that something is wrong with my back. After having two surgery’s it just scares the crap out of me to have anything go wrong. I need to give that fear up to God and let Him take care of it but that is hard to do sometimes. The men in my mens Bible study prayed for me Tuesday night and it’s been getting better each day.
So that’s what is going on here. I’m off for the weekend with no big plans. Just going to enjoy the time off and let my body heal.

It’s been an insanely long time since either of us has updated the blog. There’ve been many changes in our lives the last month and a half. Howie has a new job with Freedom Graphic Systems, for one.
